The Virtual Truck Route has a very simple privacy
policy. We will never release, sell, give away or otherwise provide any information
that you furnish us with unless directed by law enforcement agencies. Currently, the Virtual Truck Route does not collect
personally identifying information about you. "Personally identifying
information" is information that can be explicitly used to identify and/or contact
you as an individual. This includes information like your real name, e-mail address,
mailing address, phone number, credit card number, etc. Information that, by itself,
cannot be explicitly linked with your "real" identity is not considered
personally identifying.
The only information collected by the Virtual Truck
Route is the information provided in our website statistic logs. This information includes
what domains our visitors came to our site from (such as yahoo.com) or what search engines
they used to locate our site (such as google.com). Additional information in our logs
include what browsers our visitors employed (such as Netscape or Internet Explorer), how
long our visitors stayed at our site, and how many pages in our web site they visited.
It should be noted that none of the information in
our log files is personally identifiable. Instead, our logs basically indicate that you
came from here (google.com) using these search terms (Sonny Pruitt) on a
certain browser (Netscape) and viewed how many pages (10) during a certain time frame (20
minutes).
USE OF COOKIES
Cookies are pieces of information that a Web site
transfers to an individual's hard disk for record-keeping purposes. Cookies can make the
Web more useful by storing information about your preferences on a particular site, like
what items you have in a "shopping cart" for an online store. The use of cookies
is an industry standard, and many major Web sites use them to provide great features for
their customers.
Currently, the Virtual Truck Route does not use
cookies, but some of the external sites accessed through links on this site may use
cookies. For example, some merchants that we are affiliated with may use cookies to
track your preferences and referral information (so that we can get a commission).
Most browsers are initially set up to accept
cookies. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or indicate when a cookie is
being sent. However, note that some operations with external sites may not function
properly if you refuse cookies.
E-MAIL
When you send us e-mail, we will use your name and
e-mail address only to respond to the concerns you write to us with.
CHANGES TO POLICY
The Virtual Truck Route reserves the right to
modify this policy at any time by notifying customers, via the virtualtruckroute.com
site, of a new privacy policy. You can send e-mail (feedback@virtualtruckroute.com) to us with any further questions.
