Dan Fulkerson often thumbed to his ex wife's place to visit his son. The truckers who picked him up detailed the close calls on US 2A between Houlton & Macwahoc. Dan took the idea to Dick Curless. A Tombstone Every Mile became a 1965 hit on Allegash Records.
