Originally airing on Monday nights from October 1958 through July 1959 on the CBC in Canada, Paul Birch played the wise and steady Mike "Cannonball" Malone and William Campbell portrayed the impetuous Jerry Austin on the half hour series. The duo drove a GMC for C & A Transport Co. Beth Lockerbie, Beth Morris, Steve Barringer, and Howard Milsom were cast in supporting roles. The 39 half hour episodes were also rebroadcast in the United States, Australia, and Great Britain.
To date, Cannonball has not been officially released on DVD..
