Since Ted Daffan penned Truck Driver's Blues, trucking has been the subject of choice for more than one songriter.
 
The Songwriters

Born in Merryville, Louisiana, Theron Eugene Daffan (September 21, 1912 - October 6, 1996) wrote Truck Driver's Blues, the first hit of the genre. Cliff Bruner recorded the song in 1939 which sold over 100,000 copies. A singer/songwriter, Ted Daffan, was elected to the Nashville Songwriters Foundation Hall of Fame in 1970.
